The car owner can register the vehicle in the Traficom register for many different uses. The insurance company offers insurance according to the information received from Traficom. The owner can register the vehicle for private use or for “rental without driver” use. It is advisable to do the correct insurance and registration of the vehicle immediately.
Vehicle insurance and registration
Vehicle rental by private registered car
When registering a car for private use, the owner must ensure that the car is occasionally borrowed / rented by their own insurance company. The insurance company often requires that an occasional rental activity be noted in the information of their customer, the owner of the car.
Rental without driver as primary use
If the car is registered for “Rental without driver” use, the insurance company will provide insurance suitable for that use. Insurance is usually slightly more expensive than insurance for private use. A vehicle registered for “Rental without Driver” will not affect insurance premiums or bonuses for other cars of the same owner.
The owner of the car must register the vehicle correctly, after which the insurance company will provide insurance suitable for the registered use.

Pohjola – private use
